The Gathering Highlights:
The Gathering Dublin is luring people, who love Ireland, home for a year of 25 fantastic invitational events. Teams from all over the world will 'Meet to Compete' in South Dublin. Everyone is invited to join in on the craic and fun!! There are lots of events to choose from including American Football, Baseball, Golf, Cricket, Bridge and Art competitions.
Riverdance - The Gathering
This is a Gathering which will take place over a week in July culminating in 3 special events. On Saturday 20th July there will be a full of Riverdance events taking place at Merrion Square, including a giant ceili and also a night time concert with the full Riverdance Orchestra where you will be able to enjoy Riverdance highlights from the past 19 years performances. On Sunday 21st July you will be able to experience a Guinness Book of Records attempt to create the longest Riverdance line along the Liffey and that same day enjoy a special Gathering performance of Riverdance with guests Jean Butler and Moya Doherty.
The Gathering Morpeth Roll Exhibition TourThe popular Chief Secretary of Ireland, Lord Morpeth, returned to England in September 1841 and the Irish people found a very unique way of saying goodbye to him. 300,000 people signed the biggest 'Bon Voyage' card ever! The Morpeth Roll is the world's largest paper collection of signatures, 652 pages, and it is going on a tour around Ireland for the first time this year. The Gathering Cruise

In 2013 Ireland is hosting some wonderful sporting events. May 17th-18th sees the European Cup Rugby finals taking place in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 with the Amlin Challenge Cup in the RDS on the 17th and Heineken Cup Final in the AVIVA Stadium on the 18th.
Ireland's top hurlers will take to the Cooley Mountains (60min drive from Ballsbridge) on August 3rd for the All Ireland Poc Fada.
The European Athletics Team Championships take place in Santry Stadium with 650 top athletes particpiating.
