This year it will take place on Friday 24 November 2017, most of the stores will stay open until 9 pm.
Best way to get to Dublin City Shopping Areas?
Take the DART from Lansdowne Road Station (5 mins walk from the Hotel) and head for Tara Street Station to get to Grafton Street or O'Connell Street & Henry Street shopping areas. If you wish for stress-free travel, book a short taxi to Grafton Street area. Otherwise, you can hop on any one of the following bus routes which will take you straight to the shopping areas: 4, 7, 7A and 120.
Christmas Markets in Dublin
It's the most wonderful time of the year - and time to get out and enjoy the brilliant Christmas market. This year it will be set in Dublin 1 at the Point Square. The market includes over 135 stalls of Irish contemporary design, hand-made craft, art, books, antiques, collectibles, retro, vintage, furniture, clothes, jewelry, cosmetics, music, and food. Dundrum Town Centre is Ireland's second largest shopping centre with over 150 stores, almost 140,000 square metres of floor space, and over 3,400 car parking spaces. It is close to Herbert Park Hotel and is accessible by taxi or the Luas from the city centre.
It contains a range of retail, restaurant and entertainment tenants. Retail stores include Tesco Ireland, Marks and Spencer, House of Fraser, H&M, Next, Harvey Nichols, Gap, Hollister Co., Penney's, Hamleys and Zara. A temporary ice-skating rink is operational in December.
