St. Patrick's Day

St Patrick's Day in Ireland

St Patricks Day at Herbert Park Hotel & Park Residence

St. Patrick's Day in Dublin attracts more than 100,000 visitors from around the world each year. This year March 17th falls on a Friday, making it an end-of-week bank holiday. Visitors and locals alike will come together on the streets of Dublin - and across Ireland - to experience the festivities. The most popular one, other than perhaps a pub crawl in Temple Bar, would be the St. Patrick's day parade.

While the parade starts at noon, we recommend going early to enjoy the atmosphere of the city and to ensure you have a good spot to view the show. Usually, aiming for a spot along O'Connell Street is a reliable, attainable goal. Other enjoyable things to do during the day are exploring the street vendors and shops set up around town, and viewing all of the decorations and costumes you can!

After enjoying the hustle and bustle of the festivities, however, retreat back to our hidden oasis in Dublin City Centre for a quiet, relaxing evening overlooking the park. Looking for an itinerary to take the stress out of planning?
