Green Hospitality Programme

The Green Hospitality Awards are an internationally recognised third-party environmental & sustainability certification awards programme which has been running since 2004.

It requires businesses to follow a set of defined criteria and implement an Environmental Management System which then builds towards a full sustainability programme. 

The criteria are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Global Sustainable Tourism Council Criteria, EU Ecolabel and the Sustainability Hospitality Alliance Hotel Carbon, Water and Waste Measurement methodologies.

System Core

- Navigate the journey to Net Zero Carbon with future proofed systems, design theory and building code compliance

- Reduce energy spend in old and new buildings by between 30% and 90%.

- Reduce maintenance time and expenditure by greater than 15%

- Optimise building and energy management systems usage through automated energy monitoring and control

- Improve occupancy health & wellbeing while minimising waste

- Act independently to building and maintenance contractors to ensure our clients get value for money

Sirus

Sirus offer energy management services to improve the efficiency of commercial buildings including:

  • Energy Audits
  • Energy Analysis
  • Alternative Energy Source Design
  • Energy Management Systems

All other services provided by Sirus (BMS, HVAC and Maintenance) also contribute to reducing the consumption of energy in facilities.

Field Days

- They use 100% vegetable soy wax to make our creamy candles and wax melts.
- Soaps are made with certified sustainably sourced Palm Oil. Look out for the RSPO (Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil logo on our soap packs.)
- Cartons are made using PEFC forest friendly boards and printed with vegetable inks, and all printed within a few miles from our HQ. Look out for the logo on our cartons.

Musgrave is a sixth-generation family business, and they believe it is their responsibility to leave a positive legacy for future generations. J J Darboven

Taking responsibility has been one of J.J. Darboven most important principles from the very beginning. But that's not enough for us: In 2017, they formed an interdisciplinary sustainability project group and appointed a sustainability officer. This nine-member working group meets every six weeks to work continuously on the sustainable improvement of all areas of the company. Together they determine key figures, explore new opportunities, and improve our processes so that we can make a contribution to a sustainable future through resource-saving economic management and long-term fair partnerships.
